Privacy Policy

This English version is provided for all markets where Studiomaps operates. The Swedish company behind Studiomaps is the data controller, and Swedish law applies. In case of any discrepancy, the Swedish version prevails.
Who we are
Studiomaps is operated by a Swedish limited company (company name, registration number and address provided on request via hello@studiomaps.app). The company behind Studiomaps is the data controller for the processing described below.
1. Visitors who contact a studio
What we collect. When you submit an interest/contact form for a studio we collect: your first name, your email address, which studio you chose, the page you came from, a timestamp, and technical information (browser and approximate country derived from your IP address — we do not store the IP address itself).
Sending your interest to the studio. We forward your name, your email and the timestamp to the studio you chose so that they can contact you. This happens at your request when you submit the form. Legal basis: your consent, and respectively the processing necessary to fulfil your request (Article 6(1)(a) and Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The studio then becomes an independent data controller for its own subsequent contact with you.
Marketing from Studiomaps (optional). Only if you actively tick the "send me tips and offers" box do we send you newsletters and tips about studios. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every mailing or by emailing us. Without the box ticked, we do not market to you.
Operating and improving the marketplace. We may retain submitted data in de-identified/aggregated form in order to measure and improve the service. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object to this.
Retention period. Form data is kept for a maximum of 24 months from your most recent interaction, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
2. Studios listed on Studiomaps
Studiomaps lists boutique studios in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Information about a studio (name, address, category, opening hours, prices, ratings, images) is gathered from publicly available sources.
For studios run as sole traders, or where the names of owners/staff appear, this information may constitute personal data. Our legal basis for publishing it is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating an information service that helps consumers find studios, weighed against the limited privacy impact of publishing already-public business information.
Because the data is collected from public sources and individually notifying every listed studio would require disproportionate effort, this information is instead provided publicly via this policy (Article 14(5)(b) GDPR).
Are you listed and want changes or removal? Email hello@studiomaps.app. We normally update or remove within a week. You have the right to object to the processing.
3. Cookies and analytics
At its core Studiomaps uses cookieless visitor statistics (Vercel Web Analytics plus our own anonymous page-view counting) which set no cookies, do not track you across sites and do not transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA.
In addition we use Google Analytics 4 — but only if you accept it in the cookie banner. Before you accept (or if you decline) no analytics cookies are set; Google then only receives anonymous, cookieless signals with no link to you as a person. Your choice is stored locally in your browser. You can reverse it by clearing site data for studiomaps.app, which makes the banner appear again. We use no advertising or marketing cookies.
4. Who we share with
The studio you chose to contact receives your name, email and the timestamp — as an independent data controller. Sub-processors processing on our behalf (operations/hosting): Vercel and Supabase. These act as data processors under data-processing agreements and may not use the data for their own purposes. We never sell your personal data.
5. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest. Email hello@studiomaps.app — we reply within 30 days. You may lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) at imy.se.
6. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the site.
