Black Dragon Kickboxing Cavan

Black Dragon Martial Arts Academy Cavan is a kickboxing K1 and martial arts school based in Moynehall, Cavan, established about 15 years ago. Training takes place in the setting of a traditional dojo, following the values of eastern martial arts teaching.

The syllabus covers a wide range of strikes, joint locks, controlled takedowns, grappling restraints and releases, with a clear progression so students keep learning new techniques. Programmes run for every age group: Little Dragons (4–7), Cadets (8–13) and Seniors (14 and above), plus 1 to 1 sessions and a mindfulness and anti-bullying programme for schools.

The academy is affiliated with Black Dragon Ireland and the International Kickboxing Federation. Instructors Sensei Larry and Sensei Aingeal are vetted, insured, first-aid certified and trained in child protection, with a combined 35+ years of martial arts experience. The focus is a fun, clean, safe and positive environment where students of all ages develop mind and body.
