Dance School Ashbourne

The Ashbourne School of Dance is a well-established children's dance school in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, running for over 35 years under Principal Josephine Coleman's successor, who took over in 1999. Pupils of all ages can study Ballet, Tap, Modern and Acrobatics, with classes structured by grade and newcomers placed in the right level after assessment.

Classes take place in the school's own premises, which has two dance studios with wooden sprung floors, barres and mirrors, plus changing rooms, a coffee bar waiting area and free parking. Pupils can take technical exams, stage exams and competitions, and there is a 1-week summer school mixing dance, singing, drama, art and sport.

Boys and girls are welcome, with special Mini Movers classes for 3-4 year olds. The Principal is AAD-qualified, DBS checked and also teaches an NHS and Age UK-endorsed strength and balance class for older adults.
