Ennis Ki Aikido is a friendly dojo in Barefield, Co. Clare, founded in February 2018 by Sensei Kevin Sorohan, 5th Dan. It teaches Ki-Aikido, the martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba as a means of self defence and spiritual training. The art builds coordination of mind and body and requires no special strength or speed, so people of all ages and abilities can practise it.

Regular practice supports flexibility, concentration, health and fitness, communication skills and self-esteem. The dojo is part of the Irish Ki-Aikido Association, founded in Galway in 1993 by Sensei Paul Marchant, 6th Dan. Beginner classes are announced to begin at 7:45pm on Thursday 10th September 2026, and everyone is welcome.
