Wicklow Kenpo Karate Academy is a long-running martial arts school based at St Brigid's Hall in Rathnew, County Wicklow, teaching Kenpo Karate and self-defence since 1995.

Led by Professor of the Arts Alan Ellis, a 6th Degree Black Belt with over fifty years of martial arts experience, the academy runs age-specific classes for children (from around 5 years to early teens) as well as adult classes through the week.

Sessions typically combine warm-ups, stretching, forms (kata), self-defence techniques, pad drills and sparring, blending Japanese and Chinese influences with a focus on health, discipline and well-being. Private tuition is available, training can be tailored to individual needs, and the academy also offers corporate lessons and sessions for schools and colleges.

A trial class is available, and new kids' members starting in September receive a free uniform.
