Katie Mairead Dance School (KMDS) is a children's dance school led by founder and principal Ms Katie Gaffney, who is trained in classical ballet and dance (RAD, IDTA, IBDP). It runs two programmes: KMDS Ballet and FitKid Mayo by KMDS. Ballet classes run from Baby & Primary Ballet (ages 2½–6) through progressive Classical Ballet.

FitKid Mayo offers recreational classes that blend dance, acrobatics, gymnastics-style skills, strength and flexibility, plus a Competition Pathway towards national and international competitions. Classes are held in Tubbercurry (St Brigid's Hall), Charlestown (Arts Centre) and Castlebar (Mango Martial Arts).

The focus is on building confidence, technique and friendships in a fun, supportive environment where every child progresses at their own pace.
