Okinawa Shogen-Ryu Karate-Do Europe is a small association of martial artists based in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal, dedicated to preserving and teaching authentic Okinawan karate and kobudo, specifically Shogen-Ryu ti and Yamane Ryu kobudo. Training follows the guidance of Kiyomasa Maeda, Hanshi, Judan, with direct links to his dojo in Itoman, Okinawa.

The focus is on traditional budo, life-preservation techniques and realistic self-defence applications rather than commercialised sport karate. Classes run on Wednesday and Friday evenings for both children (7-8pm) and adults, with the association also hosting seminars and black belt gradings in Ireland and across Europe.
