Suzie Dodd Pilates Academy, also known as The PilateScene, teaches authentic classical Reformer Pilates in Galway from two studios: Clarinbridge, behind Petite Delice on the main street with plenty of parking, and Briarhill Shopping Centre. Classes are small groups of up to 11 on Merrithew Reformers, led by qualified instructors, with no music, no crazy moves and no pressure.

The Briarhill studio also offers Tower and mixed Apparatus classes. The approach is about building body confidence rather than weight loss, and clients range from 17 to 83, including beginners, people managing back pain or osteoporosis, and those recovering from injury or pregnancy. Newcomers can try 3 classes for €60 with no contract.

The academy also runs Mat, Reformer and pre/post-natal Pilates teacher training and hosts the Irish Pilates Convention.
