Bamsegympa Södermalm

Stockholms Barnidrottsförening runs Bamsegympa and Idrottsskola – an activity aimed at children between 2 and 7 years old in Stockholm. The concept is based on the Swedish Gymnastics Federation's Bamsegympa and is complemented by the association's own Idrottsskola, where children are introduced in a playful way to the joy of movement and fundamental motor skills. Through obstacle courses, games and elements from sports such as football, floorball, tennis and athletics, coordination, balance and cooperation are developed without pressure or elimination.

The activity takes place in several venues in Södermalm, including near Medborgarplatsen, Hornsgatan and Folkskolegatan. Classes are offered both with and without a parent in the room, and group sizes are kept deliberately small to ensure quality. In addition to regular term-time classes, it is possible to book individual one-off classes, making it easy to make up a missed session or to try the activity more flexibly.

The association offers free trial classes ahead of each term, cancellation protection up to seven days before the term starts, and insurance for all participants. Registration and booking are handled via a dedicated booking system. The association is affiliated with Svensk Gymnastik and also runs parkour, summer camps and children's birthday parties.
