Chicago Swing Dance Studio

Chicago Swing Dance Studio is located at Hornsgatan 75 in Södermalm, Stockholm, and is a specialist dance studio focused on American swing dances from 1920s–40s Harlem. The course offering covers Lindy Hop, Charleston, Authentic Solo Jazz and Stepp — at levels ranging from complete beginners to experienced dancers. Drop-in classes in Lindy Hop are held every Wednesday, and during the spring term courses run in several rounds with the option to combine styles at a discounted price.

The venue functions not only as a dance studio but also as a concert venue and cultural space — regular live evenings under the concept Chicago Live Wednesdays invite jazz bands and create an authentic swing atmosphere. This makes Chicago something more than an ordinary dance school: the atmosphere is rooted in a specific musical culture and historical dance tradition.
