Fredhälls badklubb is a non-profit association with a bathing spot at Fredhäll in Stockholm. The activities centre on outdoor swimming and sauna, and during the summer months — 1 June to 31 August — the bathing spot is open to the public daily between 09:00 and 19:00. The sauna, however, is reserved for the association's own members year-round.
The atmosphere is community-driven and association-based rather than commercial. The club is governed by statutes, an elected board and working groups, which gives it a clear character of member-owned community. It is not a fitness centre in the traditional sense, but a swimming and sauna society with deep local roots.
It suits those who appreciate simple outdoor bathing and sauna in a calm, non-commercial environment — and who are not in a hurry, as the waiting list for membership is currently at least ten years.
