Gojukai Karatedo Stockholm

Gojukai Karatedo Stockholm is one of Sweden's oldest karate clubs, founded in 1971, and is based at Alviksskolan in Bromma, with training facilities in the so-called Klocktornet at Tranebergsvägen 73.

The club teaches Goju-kai karate and offers beginner classes that combine gymnastic elements — flexibility, fitness and strength — with basic karate training, self-defence, and theory and history relating to the style's traditions. Children's groups also have play elements built into the training. For those with a competitive focus, there is the opportunity to work towards cup competitions and championships. The club has around 100–130 active members aged from 7 to over 60, with a clear majority being girls and women, and the atmosphere is characterised by discipline without being exclusively competition-oriented.

Gojukai Stockholm is affiliated with the International KarateDo GojuKai Association, the All Scandinavian GojuKai KarateDo Federation and Svenska Karateförbundet — a grounding in the international Goju-kai tradition that spans over 60 nations. Suitable for those who want to learn karate in a structured and well-established environment, whether you are a child, a young person or an adult beginner.
