Ground Game Jiu-Jitsu

Ground Game Jiu-Jitsu is a non-profit Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club in Tyresö, located at Tyresöhallen on Pluggvägen 2. Training is based around instructor-led BJJ classes for both adults and young people, with sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 18:30–20:00, as well as open mat for members on Sundays from 11:00–13:00.

The club places great emphasis on fundamental technique and offers experience-adapted training where everyone helps everyone — no prior knowledge is required. The atmosphere is described as inclusive and friendly. Instructors Abbas Reyhanian and Niclas Thurston lead the classes, and as a non-profit organisation, any surplus goes back into the club and its activities.

An active partnership with the project Ett Tryggare Granängsringen means that young people aged 13–20 from disadvantaged areas can train free of charge — something that sets the club apart from many others. A good fit for those who want to start Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from scratch, or who are looking for a community-driven training culture in Tyresö.
