SOL GF

Gymcross is a training format run by the gymnastics association SOL GF in Västertorp, Hägersten. The activity is open to everyone aged 16 and above, regardless of previous experience or fitness level — beginners, recreational exercisers and competitive athletes train side by side.

The training is based on using the body as a counterweight and makes use of equipment normally associated with competitive gymnastics: vaulting boxes, mats, wall bars, bar systems and rings. The methods and exercises are the same as those used by the association's competitive gymnasts, but all elements can be adapted individually. The result is a session that combines strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness in a single class.

SOL GF is a multifaceted gymnastics association with a long history and several sections, including artistic gymnastics, cheerleading and team gymnastics. Gymcross sessions can be booked online via Timecenter, and the association can be reached through its office, which has visiting hours primarily on Tuesdays during term time. The office is located in southern Stockholm, and the association maintains active social media channels for ongoing updates.
