Gymnastiktruppen Vikingarna

Gymnastiktruppen Vikingarna is a gymnastics association founded in 1949, based in Larsberg on Lidingö. The association runs both recreational and competitive gymnastics and brings together thousands of active members, coaches and families. The facilities are located in Vikingahallen at Bodalsvägen 47, and activities range from beginner to elite level, with gymnasts represented at club competitions, the Swedish Championships, the Nordic Championships and in the national team.

The association organises several events each year, including VikingaCupen – since 2005 one of Sweden's largest group gymnastics competitions, with up to 3,500 participants from across the country. The competition is built on the principle that all gymnasts, regardless of level, should be able to take part, in line with the association's guiding values: joy, community and development. In addition to the cup, club championships and Christmas end-of-term celebrations are held regularly.

The association also offers the option to hire Vikingahallen to external parties and welcomes sponsors who wish to support the construction of a new gymnastics hall. Those newly interested can add their child to a waiting list via the association's website, and bookings are handled digitally. The office can be reached by email for general enquiries.
