Håkans Dansskola

Håkans Dansskola in Bromma is one of Stockholm's most experienced dance schools, founded in 1979 and operating at several locations around the city. The school offers courses in bugg, fox, foxtrot, salsa, wedding waltz and gammeldans – for beginners as well as those who wish to develop further with more advanced moves and technique. The specialist course Buggslingan is aimed at those who already know the basics and want to train more intensively, while Intensivkurs Bugg is held every autumn. Corporate courses are also part of the offering, including a long-standing collaboration with Ericsson.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming – the school is run by Katrin and her son Marcus, who took over the teaching around 2010. The teaching follows the methodology of Svenska Danssportförbundet and emphasises learning to dance in the way it is actually done out on the dance floors. It is a family-run school with deep roots in the Stockholm region and a long history of welcoming dancers of all ages.
