Ju Shin Jutsu - Sankt Eriks Budoklubb

Sankt Eriks Budoklubb on Södermalm in Stockholm is one of Sweden's oldest martial arts clubs, founded in 1957, and trains in the style of Ju Shin Jutsu Ryu – a traditional Japanese ju-jutsu focused on self-defence. The club is based at Åsögatan 153 and offers structured classes for several groups: Kids & Juniors (ages 7–14) train on Tuesdays and Thursdays 17:00–18:00, Adult Beginners (aged 15 and over) train on Tuesdays 18:00–19:30, and Adult Graded members attend advanced sessions on Thursdays 18:00–20:00 and Tuesdays 19:30–21:00. There is no competitive element – the focus is on technique, self-defence strategy and personal development within a small, non-profit club of around 20 active members.

Training is led by Soke Anders Irénius, the style's foremost instructor and son of founder Soke George Irénius, giving the club a direct connection to the origins of the style. New visitors may attend two trial classes free of charge, with no prior experience or special equipment required. Suitable for those seeking traditional martial arts without a competitive focus, those wishing to learn practical self-defence, or parents looking for a safe and serious activity for children from the age of seven.
