Karateklubben Glädjen, Shotokan

Karateklubben Glädjen is a non-profit association in Hägersten, Stockholm, focusing on Shotokan karate. The club welcomes both children and adults, regardless of previous experience, and holds regular training sessions at Hägerstenshamnens skola and Västertorpshallen. Classes are led by several experienced instructors, providing variety and breadth in the training programme.

The association aims to support members' physical, mental and social development based on the values of budo philosophy. Attitude and respect, both inside the dojo and in everyday life, are central aspects of the club's activities. For adults seeking movement training without starting karate directly, a separate conditioning class is also offered on Saturdays.

The club is affiliated with Svenska Karateförbundet and JKA Sweden, meaning members are covered by the federation's accident insurance. Regular grading sessions are held each term, and the board is chaired by Dan Hallqvist alongside other elected representatives.
