Mälarsalens danskurser

Mälarsalen is one of Stockholm's most established dance centres, with roots stretching back to 1972. The studio is based in Södermalm and offers a wide range of ballroom and social dance courses for all levels, from beginners to more experienced dancers. Term courses are held primarily on Sunday evenings, while weekends are devoted to intensive courses.

The repertoire includes dance styles such as bugg, dubbelbugg, foxtrot, swing, salsa, waltz, tango and cha-cha/rumba. In addition to group lessons, private lessons, social dancing and a dance partner pool are available for those who wish to practise without a fixed partner. The venue is known for its panoramic view over the city and has over the years hosted many of Sweden's most popular dance bands.

Further activities are run under the name MS Floor 32, and the website lists detailed level steps so that participants can easily find the right course level. Booking takes place on a term-by-term basis and new terms open for registration well in advance. Classes are led by experienced dance teachers and are aimed at anyone who wants to get started with partner dancing in a welcoming environment.
