MDT

MDT – Moderna Dansteatern – is a stage for contemporary choreography and performance on Skeppsholmen in central Stockholm. The operation does not revolve around training classes in the traditional sense but is a co-production platform where performances and encounters with the dance field take centre stage. The programme consists of stage works within contemporary dance and performance, and tickets are booked via Billetto.

The venue is housed in a former torpedo workshop – an industrial space with a strong character – surrounded by neighbours such as Moderna Museet and Teater Galeasen. MDT actively works with accessibility through a pay-what-you-can system where the ticket price is chosen freely between 100 and 500 kr, with 300 kr as the recommended price.

Suited to those interested in experimental dance, contemporary choreography and performance in an artistic environment rather than a conventional dance studio.
