Östberga karateklubb

Östberga Karateklubb is a non-profit karate association in Älvsjö, Stockholm, training in the style of Okinawa Goju Ryu. Sessions are held in the sports hall at Östbergaskolan and are divided into three groups: beginner training for children and their parents, continuation training for children, and youth and adult training. Classes are offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and each term concludes with gradings at which participants can advance in belt rank.

The club maintains a welcoming format where beginners need no prior experience – neither strength nor flexibility is required to start. Training is led by instructors in an organised setting, and the association is affiliated with the Swedish Karate Federation. Okinawa Goju Ryu is a traditional style of karate with a focus on kata, technical precision and self-defence.
