Oyama Karate Kai - Solna Kyokushin

Oyama Karate Kai in Västra skogen, Solna, is an established karate club with a long history in the Solna part of the Stockholm region. The club specialises in Kyokushinkai, one of the hardest full-contact styles within karate, and offers training for both children and adults. The children's groups — Katterna, Tigrarna and Drakarna — are divided by age and train on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while the adult group (from age 15) holds sessions on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Competition-oriented kata and kumite are central elements, and the club actively participates in competitions such as the Swedish Championships, European Championships and international cups.

The atmosphere is shaped by traditional budo culture with clear dojo rules and a grading system running from 10 kyu up to 3 dan.
