Ritmo Caleño

Ritmo Caleño is a dance school in Vasastan, Stockholm, specialising in Salsa Caleña – the Colombian salsa style from the city of Cali. The class offering includes Salsa Caleña Beginners, Salsa Caleña Intermediate and Conditioning (footwork), the last of which is also available as drop-in.

Teaching takes place in groups with a focus on technical footwork, sense of rhythm and the sense of community that Colombian salsa is built on.

Founder Rickard Berglund, who is Colombian-Swedish and travels regularly to Cali to train with the country's leading dance schools, runs the studio together with instructor Johnny Cvetkovski – who has a background in Cuban salsa and LA-style and has now specialised in the Caleña style.

What sets Ritmo Caleño apart from other salsa schools in Stockholm is its strict focus on Salsa Caleña specifically, with authentic technique and music drawn directly from the source.
