Scandinavian Dance Academy

Scandinavian Dance Academy, known as SDA, is located at Västmannagatan 43 near Odenplan in Vasastan and offers a wide range of dance courses, weekly scheduled classes and structured training programmes for all ages and levels. The styles cover street, commercial and modern dance, and alongside the dance classes there are fitness-oriented classes such as Bootcamp, Pilates and Backbends & Splits. More in-depth tracks are offered through the programmes SDC, SDS, SDQ, SDM and XF Training, as well as the two-year education programme SDE, which includes mentors and an audition process.

Teaching is carried out by experienced choreographers and dancers, and the academy operates from the conviction that dance is a creative and social means of expression rather than purely technique. SDA was founded in 2012 by Jonas Göthberg, Eric Saade and Johnny Oduya — an origin that reflects a clear connection to the Swedish commercial dance industry.

Suitable for those who wish to dance recreationally, aspire to a stage or professional career in dance, or have children between the ages of 7 and 9 looking for a structured dance programme. The academy welcomes beginners just as much as those aiming for a professional level.
