Solna Judoklubb

Solna Judoklubb is an established judo club in Solna offering training for the whole family, from the very youngest to adults at all levels. The club has groups for young children (aged 6–8) divided into Grupp Röd and Grupp Lila, Kids Beginners, Kids Intermediate, Youth Beginners, Youth Intermediate, Youth & Adult Level 2, Adult Beginners, Adult Intermediate, and Wrestling/No Gi Judo for those who want to train judo techniques without a gi. There is also the class Judo för Balans, aimed at people aged 65 and over who want to improve their balance and confidence in falling.

Training follows a methodology the club calls "omvänd judo", which starts from sparring and concrete training tasks rather than isolated techniques. Groups are kept small enough to allow individual guidance, and sessions are instructor-led with a clear progression between level groups. The club was founded in 1967 and is built on judo's eight core values — courtesy, honesty, courage, respect, self-control, friendship, sincerity and humility — which set the tone for how training is conducted.
