Stockholms Taidoförening

Stockholms Taidoförening is a martial arts association in Enskede with training at several locations around Stockholm — in Gubbängen, in Vällingby and in Nacka. The association teaches three disciplines: Taido, a Japanese acrobatic martial art incorporating rolls, cartwheels and somersaults; KishimotoDi, a genuinely Okinawan karate style known for its soft and gentle techniques; and Shurite, an older Okinawan martial art with roots in Chinese and South-East Asian tradition.

Training is led by instructors and is open to both children and adults, regardless of experience or level of ambition. The fact that the association has its own dojo in three locations makes it possible to choose the venue that is most convenient geographically. Each discipline has a designated contact person, which suggests a committed team of instructors with specialisation in their respective styles.

Suitable for those who want to try a martial art in an association-run environment, whether for fitness or with a view to grading and competition. Children are welcome through the association's children's programme, and new members can try three sessions free of charge before making a decision.
