Stockholms Wushu Akademi

Stockholms Wushu Akademi in Vasastan is one of Sweden's oldest kung fu clubs and has been running classes since 1975. The academy teaches O Shin Chuen, a traditional style of Chinese martial arts based on the movement patterns of five animals — dragon, tiger, crane, snake and panther. The training programme includes beginners, intermediate and advanced groups for both children and adults, supplemented by regular weekend courses and an annual training camp.

Classes are instructor-led and take place in the academy's own premises at Döbelnsgatan 67A, close to Rådmansgatan underground station. The facilities include a group training hall, a small gym with barbells and a punching bag, and changing rooms with showers. The style was founded in Sweden by Da Sifu Louis Linn, who still leads the academy and whose family tradition in O Shin Chuen traces back to the Fujian Shaolin system.
