Turebergs Karateklubb

Turebergs Karateklubb is one of Sollentuna's most established martial arts clubs, founded in 1976 and affiliated with Svenska Karateförbundet, Riksidrottsförbundet and JKS Sweden. Training is based on shotokan karate with elements of kata and kumite, and the club offers classes for children from the age of eight and upwards as well as adults at all levels.

The atmosphere is characterised by community and long-term learning rather than quick results. Instructors include Karin Sökare (7 dan) and Felicia Sökare (4 dan), reflecting a solid level of technical expertise. In addition to regular training, camp activities are organised — ranging from summer camps for younger practitioners to Shihankailäger for black belts — and members with competitive ambitions are given targeted conditions in which to develop within competition.

Suitable for those who want to learn shotokan karate from scratch, or who already have experience and are looking for a club with national and international credentials in which to continue developing.
