Vanadis Aikidoklubb

Vanadis Aikidoklubb is a non-profit association in Vasastan, Stockholm, that has offered aikido training for both adults and children since 1994. The dojo is located at Västmannagatan 59, near Odenplan, and comprises 155 square metres of training mat in premises that the club has fitted out itself.

The timetable covers a wide range of levels and age groups: Beginner/foundation, Continuation (minimum 6th kyu), Advanced (minimum 3rd kyu), Bokken (minimum 3rd kyu), Weapons training jo and bokken, and children's groups divided by school year. Training takes place in pairs with no competitive elements, focusing on falls, movement, coordination and interaction. The club also arranges camps with high-level guest instructors, such as Gaston Nicolessi 6th dan Aikikai.

Well suited to those who wish to learn a traditional Japanese budo art in an association-run setting, whether you are completely new or have trained for a long time – and for parents looking for structured martial arts training for their children.
