Vaxholms Roddförening

Vaxholms Roddförening is one of Vaxholm's oldest clubs, founded in 1883, and is based in its boathouse on Eriksö just outside Vaxholm. The club offers rowing for both seniors and juniors, and organises the well-known competitive event Distanskapprodden each year, as well as taking part in the Swedish Championships in disciplines such as SM Beachsprint and SM Endurance.

With around 200 members, it is an active sports club rather than a commercial studio — run on a non-profit basis with training and competition at its core. A long history of successful competitive rowers, including Olympians and Swedish champions, gives the club a clear sporting identity.

A good fit if you want to take up rowing seriously, are looking for a genuine club community in an archipelago setting, or are interested in competing in canoe and rowing sports.
