Wadoryu Karate Sweden

Wadoryu Karate Sweden is a non-profit karate club operating in Vallentuna and Upplands Väsby. The organisation consists of two associations run by parents and active members, both affiliated with Riksidrottsförbundet and Svenska Karateförbundet. The style practised is Wadoryu – one of the four major karate styles in the world, rooted in Japanese budo with a focus on peace and harmony.

The club offers training for children from the age of seven and upwards, as well as for adults at all levels, from beginners to competitive practitioners. The programme includes traditional karate training, self-defence, children's training with a focus on motor development, and competition training for more advanced practitioners. Training takes place without any requirement to pursue elite-level sport and is adapted to each individual's circumstances and pace.

The leadership team includes, among others, founder Johan Ossa, 6 Dan JKF Wadokai, with over 40 years of experience and achievements including World Championship silver and European Championship gold in Wadoryu. He is supported by a number of instructors holding Dan grades within JKF Wadokai. Classes are held Monday to Thursday at evening times suited to families, with premises at Svampskogsvägen 28 in Vallentuna and Lövstavägen 1 in Upplands Väsby.
