Martial Arts in Castlebar

Castlebar has three martial arts studios, each in a different part of town, so there is no single cluster to speak of. Combat sports are covered by Castlebar Boxing Club in Knockacroghery and The RSC Martial Arts & Kickboxing centre in Moneenbradagh, both of which hold a 5.0 rating. Traditional striking arts are represented by Taekwondo Ireland, based in the Curragh area. The spread means that where you live or work in the town will probably decide which option is most practical, since none of the three sits near another. Disciplines on offer are boxing, kickboxing and taekwondo, which gives a fairly clear split between Olympic-style striking and more conventional kicking-based training. The listings below give each studio's location and rating, so you can compare them before deciding which to contact.
