About Me

Shirley Curtin Pilates is a small-group Pilates studio in Derryknockane, near Ballycummin Village, Raheen, Limerick, run by instructor Shirley Curtin. Shirley found Pilates while recovering from back pain, a herniated disc and sciatica, and trained as an instructor after years of encouragement from her own teacher.

Classes are organised into eight-week courses at clear levels: Beginners, Beginners Continued, Improvers I/II, Mixed Ability, Intermediate and Advanced. They run on weekday mornings and evenings from Monday to Friday. Clients praise the small class sizes, careful attention to technique, breathing and warm-up, and alternative movements offered for knees or injuries.

Shirley also offers private one-to-one sessions for anyone nervous about starting in a group, plus corporate bookings and sessions for sports clubs, gyms, golf clubs and hen groups.
