Aontach Jiu-Jitsu is an independent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, submission grappling and freestyle wrestling club based in Ballyvolane, about ten minutes from Cork city centre. Gi, NoGi and kids classes run six days a week, with freestyle wrestling taught inside every adults session and a Saturday open mat.

Classes are coached by Ben and Barry using evidence-informed methods with a competition focus, and complete beginners are welcome, with seasonal beginner courses on offer. Kids from 4 to 13 train in four age-based classes (PeeWees, Mighty Mights 1 and 2, and Juniors) with Garda-vetted, insured coaches.

The room was built by the coaches themselves in 2020 from reclaimed timber, salvaged steel and pallet wood. Your first class is free, there is no lock-in contract, and one flat membership covers every class on the timetable.
