Atlantic Aikido is a small, friendly aikido club in Shantalla, Galway, founded in 2011 by instructor Pádraic Moran, a third-dan (sandan) practitioner with 25 years of experience. Classes follow the traditions of a Japanese dojo in a calm, focused atmosphere, teaching blending with an attack and controlling a partner without striking or kicking.

Training is non-competitive and all levels practise together, with beginners especially welcome on Monday evenings. Classes run Mondays 7.30–9pm and Thursdays 8.30–10pm at St Joseph's Community Centre on Ashe Road, for members aged 18 and over. Free introductory classes are held regularly, and free parking is available outside.
