Lucan Shotokan Karate Club

Lucan Karate has been teaching traditional Shotokan karate to Lucan, Adamstown and the surrounding area since 2001. The club is led by Chief Instructor Sensei Michael Sherlock, a 6th Dan who has represented Ireland internationally and graded under Sensei Enoeda and other renowned KUGB instructors.

Classes run at the Adamstown Youth & Community Centre, with a regular standard class plus beginners courses held every 3 to 4 months (6 to 8 weeks long, open to adults and children aged 7+, with registration required).

The club is affiliated with the United Shotokan Karate Federation of Ireland (USKFI), giving students access to senior KUGB instructors for courses, Dan gradings and competitions throughout the year. The instructor and Child Safety Officer are Garda vetted, and gradings are held regularly for belt progression.
