Sunderland Pilates Studio was founded in 2008 by Janet Whitwood, a 3rd Generation Pilates teacher with over 25 years of experience in fitness and a background in dance. The studio welcomes people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels — from complete beginners and those recovering from injury to seasoned athletes.

Classes include Pilates Mat, Reformer Circuit, Barre, Back Care and online/virtual sessions, as well as private inductions and on-demand content. Reformer classes are held at the North Sands Business Centre studio, while mat classes run across multiple Sunderland venues and online via Zoom.
