Activage Upplands Väsby

Activage is a fitness concept aimed exclusively at seniors, with several centres in the Stockholm region. The centre in Upplands Väsby is located at Drabantgatan 12 and offers PT-led circuit training in small groups with trainers who specialise in the physiology of older adults. The training focuses on improving strength, mobility and balance in a gentle and controlled manner.

In addition to the training session, membership also includes access to water massage, coffee and tea, and a lounge environment where socialising is encouraged. The centre also organises member activities that can be booked via an app, such as pétanque and restaurant visits, making the social aspect a clear part of the concept.

New visitors are offered a free trial class in which a small group meets a qualified trainer, is shown around the facility, and tries out exercises and machines in what is called the yellow circuit. Those who wish can then attend one further regular session at no cost before deciding on membership. Activage also offers an introductory package of eight weeks for those who want more time to evaluate whether this style of training suits them.
