Bamsegympa

Stockholms Barnidrottsförening runs Bamsegympa & Idrottsskola in Västertorp in Hägersten – a children's gymnastics programme for children aged 2 to 7. The concept combines Gymnastikförbundet's official Bamsegympa with the association's own Idrottsskola, where children, in addition to gymnastics, also get to try tennis, floorball, athletics, football, basketball and handball. Coordination circuits, games and movement exercises are woven into every session.

Groups are kept deliberately small to maintain high quality, and the instructors undertake training through Gymnastikförbundet and SISU. Classes are offered both with and without a parent in the room, and it is possible to book individual one-off classes in addition to the regular term-based schedule. There is also the option to try a free session before signing up.

Suitable for those with a pre-school-age child who want to give them a varied introduction to movement – with a focus on play rather than performance.
