Karim Muaythai

Karim Muay Thai IF is a club in Vasastan, Stockholm, focused on Muay Thai for all levels — from beginners and juniors to experienced practitioners. The club is run by a team of four head coaches who together bring decades of experience from both competition and teaching. Training is built on technical foundations, discipline and community, in an environment that welcomes everyone regardless of prior experience.

Head coach Karim has a background from Krabi in Thailand and has competed at venues such as Lumpinee and Rajadamnern, including as WKN world champion in the 60 kg class. The other coaches — Teo, Pett and Jonas — complement this with their own credentials from Swedish championship contexts and many years of experience as instructors. Together they are responsible for a varied training offering covering technique, clinch, conditioning and mental training.

The club emphasises the cultural roots of the sport and works to promote Muay Thai both as a martial art and as a way of life. Both children and adults are welcome, and the programme is designed to create long-term progression rather than quick results.
