Capoeira Stockholm Lidingö

Lidingö Capoeira IF is a non-profit association founded in 2023 and forms part of the larger organisation Capoeiraklubb Senzala IF. The association is the first of its kind on Lidingö and its primary aim is to make capoeira accessible to as many people as possible in the local community, with a focus on community, movement and cultural exchange.

The parent organisation Capoeiraklubb Senzala IF was established as far back as 2008 and works to promote Brazilian culture in a broader sense — not only capoeira but also maculelê, samba and cultural events. Together, the associations have collaborated with partners such as Stockholms stad, Kulturhuset Stadsteatern and the Brazilian Embassy.

The activities are aimed at children, young people and adults in Larsberg on Lidingö as well as in Stockholm. Training is offered on a term basis and the association welcomes beginners with no prior experience. Payment is handled via Swish or bankgiro, and the association also welcomes sponsorship arrangements with companies wishing to support culture and sport locally.
