Marias Dansskola

Marias Dansskola is a dance school located in Midsommarkransen in Hägersten, with premises at Midsommargården at Telefonvägen 20, a few minutes' walk from Telefonplan underground station. The school is run by Maria Békési, who has a background in classical ballet and trained at, among other places, Szegedi National Ballet in Hungary as well as at Danshögskolan's teacher training programme in Sweden. She has extensive experience teaching children and young people in ballet and children's dance.

The teaching focuses on children's dance and classical ballet, and is delivered by a small team of well-qualified teachers and an accompanist. In addition to Maria, Amanda Krantz teaches children's dance and classical ballet, and Anna Friman leads classes in showdance, street and commercial. Samuel Linderström participates as a live accompanist on piano and accordion.

The school arranges regular performances for pupils and their families, including an annual spring show. Course enrolment is done by e-mail directly to the school. The teaching is aimed primarily at children and young people, and the school also collaborates with other organisations in the area.
