The Sacred Sauna - MOOD

The Sacred Sauna is an outdoor sauna facility located in Slakthusområdet in Johanneshov, south of Stockholm. The venue is open year-round and offers guided experiences that combine sauna heat, cold bathing, breathing exercises, meditation, movement and aromatherapy in a cohesive format. It is not a traditional spa but a place focused on ritual and presence.

The central offering is called The Sacred Session – a guided 60-minute experience led by trained operators, with three rounds of ten minutes in the sauna and breaks at communal ice baths. German aufguss techniques, essential oils and carefully selected music are included during the session. Silence is maintained during the guided rounds. Swimwear and a towel are mandatory, and changing rooms with lockers are available.

For those who prefer a more independent visit, Open Sauna is also offered as a self-directed option without a guide or ceremony. In addition to the regular sessions, it is possible to book the facility for corporate events and private functions. Booking is done via an online booking system, and credits can be purchased directly on the website.
