Väsby Atletklubb

Väsby Atletklubb is a non-profit sports association founded in 1964, based in Upplands Väsby, north of Stockholm. The club operates within powerlifting and weightlifting and is affiliated with both the Swedish Powerlifting Federation and the Swedish Weightlifting Federation. The facility is located at Skolvägen 11 and is open exclusively to club members, with weightlifting and powerlifting equipment for all levels.

The association is committed to an environment free from doping, drugs and alcohol, and has clear rules of conduct in order to maintain a safe training environment. In addition to unrestricted access to the premises, the club organises coached sessions, including the recurring concept Kvinnolyftet, aimed at women who want to learn fundamental lifting technique — suitable for beginners as well as more experienced practitioners.

Membership is managed by an elected board and is funded through annual fees adjusted according to age. The club also offers a summer membership for those who wish to train during the summer months without a full-year commitment. Competitive activity takes place on a regular basis, and the association welcomes members who wish to represent the club in competition.
