BJJ in Carlow

Carlow's Brazilian jiu-jitsu scene is small but established, with four studios listed on this page. Attic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Carlow and Acolyte Submission Grappling both carry a 5.0 rating, which is notable given how few venues the town supports. Acolyte Submission Grappling operates out of Rathnapish, the only area where a studio is clearly located in this listing, and it sits on the edge of the town rather than in the central streets. Carlow jiu jitsu academy and BJJ Club Felipe Gadelha complete the set, giving practitioners a handful of distinct options in a county where grappling clubs are still relatively few. With so few gyms to choose from, differences in lineage, class structure and training emphasis matter more than they might in a larger city. Each listing on this page includes its rating and location so you can compare the four before deciding where to train.
