Last updated
Carlow has six dance studios listed here, spread across a handful of townlands rather than concentrated in the town centre. Kilmeany is home to The Ballet Barn, which holds a 5.0 rating, while Staplestown has Dance Republic Ireland, also rated 5.0. Rathnapish makes up the third pocket of activity, giving the county a loose triangle of options for anyone willing to travel a short distance. The mix leans towards classical ballet and contemporary styles, with Carolan Academy of Irish Dance and Scoil Ui Ruairc representing the traditional side of the county's dance scene. Each area has just one studio, so choosing often comes down to location and style rather than competing options on the same street. This page sets out each studio's area, rating and what it offers, so you can compare them side by side before making contact.
