Scoil Ui Ruairc

Scoil Uí Ruairc (The O'Rourke School of Irish Dance) is a long-established Munster Irish dance school, founded in 1929 and teaching for over 90 years. Classes run across Limerick and Clare for girls, boys and adults, from beginners and improvers through to intermediate level, including a summer camp in Ennis for children from pre-school age.

The teaching staff are fully qualified, Garda-vetted teachers and adjudicators registered with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha (CLRG). Several are former world champions and former cast members of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. The school has a strong competitive record, with pupils placing at the Irish Nationals, British Nationals, North American and World Championships.

It also runs the touring group Planxty O Rourke, which has performed at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient in France. The atmosphere is described as a safe, friendly, child-centred learning environment.
