Founded in 1991 and directed by Alan Foley, the Alan Foley Academy of Dance offers recreational dance classes for children from age 4 and teens in a supportive, encouraging setting. Classes cover classical ballet, jazz, modern and hip-hop, and are open to boys and girls.

They run weekly in Clonakilty, Skibbereen, Carrigaline and Rochestown (from September 2024), taught by Alan Foley, Miss Ciara and Miss Diane. The school runs two 15-week terms a year. Students take part in the annual 'Dance Offering' production at Cork Opera House alongside Cork City Ballet professionals, and enjoy masterclasses with guest teachers.
