Alpha Athletic is a family-run independent gym in Newport, Shropshire, founded in 2018 by Maurice — a coach with 23 years of industry experience.
Built around community rather than targets, the gym offers three dedicated training zones (upper body, lower body & cardio, and conditioning) equipped with bespoke Watson machines, free weights, cables, and a full cardio suite including treadmills, bikes, ski-ergs, and a Stairmaster.
The atmosphere is inclusive and welcoming for all abilities, from complete beginners to elite athletes. Membership plans are flexible with no joining fee and no long-term contracts, and a free weekly Sunday run club is open to members and non-members alike. Vitális Studios, Newport's first reformer Pilates studio, is located within the gym.
