Black Dog BJJ is Wigan's #1 rated martial arts academy, offering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo for all ages and abilities. Founded by best friends Alex and Oly, the academy provides a welcoming community for complete beginners through to experienced grapplers.
BJJ classes run in Gi and No-Gi formats, while Judo is coached by Nigel Donohue — a two-time Olympian (Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996), 1995 European Champion, and former British Judo Performance Director. Kids programmes include Little Pups (under 9s) and Kids BJJ (9–14), plus family martial arts classes where parents and children can train together.
